Digital Technologies Seniors Program (DTSP) Holds Successful Tech Coaching Session for Healthy Elderly Members of the SGGS.

On February 18th, 2023, the Sarawak Gerontology and Geriatric Society (SGGS) held a follow-up tech coaching session, which was conducted by the Digital Technologies Seniors Program (DTSP). The coaching program was hosted at the Community Social Support Centre (CSSC) on Jalan Abell, and Dr. Zufar Yadi Brendan Bin Abdullah, Executive Secretary of the Ministry of Women, Early Childhood and Community Welfare (KPWK), was present to provide support. This event was in line with KPWK’s mandate of Sustaining Community Wellbeing For A Dignified Existence For All. A total of 40 healthy elderly members of SGGS participated in the coaching session, alongside 8 cyber-ambassadors from DTSP. The DTSP focused on coaching the participants on video/photo editing and Microsoft Word editing, as per SGGS’s personal request. The session was very productive, and the participants were highly engaged and eager to learn more. Some participants even sent their own personal video projects post-session to receive feedback from the coaches on their work.
